About St. Rose of Lima School

Saint Rose is a Catholic parochial school and a ministry of Saint Rose of Lima Parish. The school was re-opened in 1999.

  • Area served: The school serves families from Murfreesboro and the surrounding area.
  • Grades: Students served are in grades K-8.
  • Students: There are 288 boys and girls.
  • Accreditation: Saint Rose is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The school is affiliated with the Catholic School system of the Diocese of Nashville and is approved by the State of Tennessee.
  • Administration and Faculty: Saint Rose has twenty-five teachers on the faculty. The pupil-teacher ratio is 11-1.
    The Dominican Sisters from Saint Cecilia Motherhouse in Nashville provide four sisters for Saint Rose: one Sister is the Principal and three teach in the school.
  • Curriculum: Religion, Language arts (Reading, writing, grammar), Mathematics (Algebra I is offered in grade 8), Social studies, Science, Spanish, Computer, Physical Education, Art, Music (choice of Band or Music/Art appreciation in grades 5-8).
  • Regular school hours: The school day begins at 8:00AM with dismissal at 3:10PM.
  • Extended Care Hours: 7:00AM - 7:30AM and 3:10PM - 6:00PM
