DID YOU KNOW THIS ABOUT SAINT ROSE SCHOOL? • Our students have Mass every Friday, Eucharistic Adoration once a month, and have the opportunity to pray together before every class and meal. • St. Rose School was re-accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) as well as the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS). • Every class understands and actively participates in service to others outside our school in order to follow the Social Justice teachings of the Catholic faith. • Our 8th grade students perform The Passion Play for the parish during the Easter Season. • Our student council provides a Breakfast for our Parish Seniors the first Friday of each month. • Every class consistently scores well above the national average on Standardized Tests. • 54% of our 7th and 8th graders are in the National Junior Honor Society. • 68% of St. Rose School’s 4th and 66% of the 5th graders qualified for the Duke University Talent Identification Program, a 27 year old Talent Search Program that identifies academically talented students based on their standardized test scores in the 95th percentile or above. • The first 2 graduating classes of St. Rose School produced 2 High School Valedictorians and 1 High School Salutatorian, and another graduate was recently named a National Merit Semifinalist. • We have 27 full time teachers with 17 Masters Degrees or above. • Our Jr. High Science Olympiad team placed 1st in Middle Tennessee in 2009, topping their 2nd place finish in 2008 and received 10 medals at the state competition. • The 1st chair in the All Middle TN School Jazz Band is held by a St. Rose student. • St. Rose School students consistently place in the Diocesan Forensics League Tournaments all year and often have superior and excellent ratings. • Spanish classes begin in Kindergarten and continue through 8th Grade. • Jr. High students now have 5th electives course from which to choose. • The St. Rose Varsity Boys were 2009 Diocesan League Cross Country Champions, and also qualified for the State Middle School Cross County Championship. • Both the boys and girls Boys 5th/6th grade soccer teams were undefeated last spring. • 2009 Diocesan Golfer of the Year was a St. Rose student.
