Spanish Curriculum

The Spanish program at Saint Rose allows students to be exposed to a world language and arrive at an understanding of and respect for other cultures.

World language education reinforces the heritage language of students and improves cognitive skills. Through an emphasis on performance in the target language, students may become well-rounded learners who possess a lens through which they will experience the world. The goal is to provide an introduction to the Spanish language and to foster enthusiasm for the study of World Languages.

Students learn about many Hispanic traditions such as The Day of the Dead, Our Lady of Guadaluape, and Las Posadas.

Students in Pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade attend Spanish classes one to two times a week.
