Welcome to Saint Rose of Lima Catholic School!
Saint Rose of Lima Catholic School is an extension of the family. Those who entrust us with the education of their children know their children will be loved and supported in the challenges and joy of learning. Education at Saint Rose is an education in pursuit of excellence--excellence in mind, soul, and body. Whether it is their teacher, a fellow student, a staff member, a sister, or a priest, the child is led to Christ, their Savior and Brother. Our hope is that the parents of our students feel empowered by our school to raise their children to know and experience the love of God, all the while educating and forming them to be the person God created them to be in time and in eternity.
Our mission is an extension of the mission of the Catholic Church, which is to teach about God and His path to freedom and to make available to us every means of encountering Him in His Sacraments and His Word so that He might make us holy. Our school's mission, then, is to do this within the context of education, inspiring students with wonder, helping them strive for excellence in their studies and in their lives, and ultimately to have such an encounter with Christ that it shapes and forms their whole being. We desire that our students explore their interests, strengthen their strengths, and risk doing something new, which is why our academics as well as the rich variety of offerings in clubs, electives, and sports are important to us. By developing their God-given gifts and grounding them in their identity as a son or daughter of the Father, we hope to build in them the competence and confidence to leave Saint Rose ready to make a gift of their lives to God and to others.
I hope that if you are not familiar with the Saint Rose Church and School community, that you will visit us in the near future. If you spend any time with us, you will quickly notice something new and enlivening. In the meantime, may the Love of Our Lord support and sustain you.
May the Lord bless you,
Sister Veronica Marie, O.P.

The future belongs to people with children, not with things. Things rust and break but every child is a universe of possibility that reaches into eternity, connecting our memories and our hopes in a sign of God’s love across the generations. That’s what matters. The soul of a child is forever.
