Tackle Football

Tackle Football offers 4-8 graders a chance to learn this sport.  There is not a Diocesan league, so boys who are neither Saint Rose school students nor parishioners can be allowed to play.  Saint Rose plays games against a number of other private school teams.

We hope to have enough players to create two teams; one for 4-6 graders and one for 7-8 graders.

Saint Rose will hold summer mini-camps (no helmets or pads) to develop fundamental skills.  The mini-camps are every Monday in June (3rd-24th) from 6:00-7:30pm at Saint Rose.  Equipment handout is July 1 from 5:30-7:30pm in the gym.  Regular practice starts July 2 from 6:00-7:30pm.  Players will start with helmets only to get acclimated with the weather and equipment. Practices are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.  Games are held at Saint Rose and other school locations, typically held on Thursdays, starting in early August.

Saint Rose provides each player with a helmet, a set of pads, game and practice jerseys, game pants and belt. The registration fee is $125 per participant.
