Camp Saint Rose

Camp Saint Rose is an opportunity for children to explore faith and fun through fine arts, sports, academics, and an array of activities. Experiences are provided for children Entering Kindergarten-4th Grade. Each camper will be under the direction of teachers, alumni, and other experienced instructors.

Camp Hours

There is an option for a half (morning or afternoon) or a full day of camp.
Morning camps: 8:30am-12:00pm
Afternoon camps: 12:30-4:00pm

ANY child registered for a full day will need a lunch.

Camp Description

Holiday Camp-Sr. John Margaret
Who's to say a holiday only happens once a year? Spend the week celebrating some of your favorite holidays! With a new holiday each day; it is sure to be a week of fun!

Baking with Sister in the Kitchen
Pull out your aprons for another tasty week of sweets, treats, and many homemade goodies. A sample will come home each day along with the recipes from the week.

Once Upon a Time
Step into a world filled with castles, dragons, knights, and princes.
(Campers will need 1 Pool Noodle)

Super Science-Miss Gilstrap
Come Enjoy Explosive Experiments and explore what it means to be a true scientist!

Painting camp
Ages: incoming Kindergarten & 1st grades
Mrs. Bautista will lead our campers in a messy and fun painting camp! We will experiment with watercolors.tempera paint and even paint on a canvas!

Cartooning camp
Ages: incoming 2nd, 3rd & 4th grades
Mrs. Bautista will lead our campers in a fun filled drawing camp where we will earn to draw some of our favorite movie and tv characters as well as create our own original ideas!

Printmaking camp
Ages: incoming 2nd, 3rd & 4th grades
Mrs. Bautista will lead our campers in learning the magic that is printmaking! we will printmake using water,shaving cream, and ink! we will also get to design and print our own tote bag using our new skills!

Sculpture camp
Ages: incoming Kindergarten and 1st grade
Mrs. Bautista will lead our campers in building and constructing our own sculptures! we will use cardboard, paper, clay and anything else we can find! get ready to sculpt and build!

Cooking Champions-Miss Gilstrap
Campers will learn how to take care of themselves and their families with this hands-on cooking experience. With simple ingredients, they'll create delicious meals (without a huge mess)! Each day of camp will conclude with a shared meal prepared by the campers.

Music Makers
Miss Gilstrap will lead our campers in song, rhythm, and dance in this exciting new camp! We'll learn how to create music with and without instruments, no prior musical experience is required.

Variety of Sports Camps-Officer Vance & Bill Wright
Get ready to learn all about Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, and MORE! These camps will be sure to get your adrenaline running, while testing your skills.

Summer Science Olympiad
Participants will engage in dynamic activities like building a solar robot, making and navigating with a compass, exploration of the Saint Rose Woodlands, propagating plants, making a battery out of a potato, and building a self sustaining terrarium. With a focus on outdoors activities as well as lab work and the scientific method, students will be encouraged to ask questions and find answers through experimentation.

After Camp Care

Will not be offered this year.

Drop off & Pick Up

The Jo Call Room will be the primary location for drop-off and pick-up. We ask that each camper be walked in the first day to verify any necessary information. Camp check-in will begin at 8:30am. Dismissal will begin at 4:00pm. Any camper not picked up by 4:05pm will be charged a drop-in fee.

*A late fee will be applied to campers who are not picked up after 5:00pm.

Registration

A 75.00 Non-Refundable Deposit will be billed to FACTS for Enrolled Families once we receive your registration. This will be due upon receipt in order to secure your child's spot.

Parish families will be billed separately.

*Due to limited spots, your child's spot will not be confirmed until your deposit is paid.

Full Payment for June Camps will be due May 16, 2024
Full Payment for July Camps will be due May 30, 2024.
Any remaining camp payments must be paid in full by May 31, 2024.

Each camp session is $125 per week.
Any camper registered for a full day will receive a discounted weekly rate of $225.
A camp t-shirt will be provided, along with a snack each day.

Camp staff will provide allergy-free snacks to those who have specified on their registration forms.

Refunds

A 75% refund will be given if requested by May 17, 2024. Due to limited space, refunds after May 17, 2024 will not be made.
