Cross Country
Cross country is a Diocesan league open to K-8 grade boys and girls attending a Catholic school or participating in a Catholic religious education program.
Athletes compete in divisions based on certain grades and genders provided below. Day camps may occur in July. Practices can start in late July. Starting in 2026, the meets will take place on Saturday mornings generally held in September (2026 dates are: August 29, September 12, 19 and Sept 26 for K-3 grades and Wednesday, October 1 for 4-5 and 6-8 Championship meet.) We were directed by the Diocese to move any meets, matches, or games off of Sundays. Meets are in Nashville on the Dominican Campus (Saint Cecilia/Overbrook schools) or possibly one at another location. All 6-8 grade runners also participate in an individual and team Championship competition held on the final meet. These runners must participate in 3 out of the 4 meets to qualify for an individual or team award.
Saint Rose provides a uniform for each runner. The registration fee is $60 per participant. This increase covers the entrance fees to all of the meets.
