Spring Athletics Registration

The 2023 Saint Rose Spring Sports Registration is now open.

This year we have the following sports are available to our parish youth.  They include:

  • 4-6 Grade Coed Soccer and 7-8 Grade Coed Soccer
  • 5-6 Girls Volleyball
  • 1-2 and 3-4 Grade Coed Flag Football
  • NFL Flag Football League
  • 6-8 Boys and Girls Golf (Parochial Golf League)
  • Nashville Catholic Tennis League
  • Nashville Catholic Softball (6-8 Grade Girls)

The Nashville Catholic and NFL Flag Football sports are organized separately, which will require two separate registrations, one for Saint Rose and one for that particular sport. In these situations, the Saint Rose registration is primarily used with Saint Rose coaches and coordination for parents traveling to Nashville for practices and games.

We are always looking for adults to coach our youth.  If you are interested in coaching, please complete the forms on the Volunteer Coaching Information page.

Registration

Athletes can sign-up using the Saint Rose form below.  Registration is open through Tuesday, February 28.  Late registrations will be accepted until Tuesday, March 7, yet subject to a $30 late fee for only the Saint Rose team sports/clinics.  Please check the diocesan coordinated sports for their registration deadlines, which could be different.

Registration payments can be made by check or through the FACTS program, if your child is a student at Saint Rose Catholic School.  If paying by check, please submit your payment to the school office in an envelope address to Bill Wright, Athletic Director.

All participants will need to complete and submit a 2022-2023 Diocesan Health Form.  If your child participated in any of the Saint Rose Fall or Winter Sports this school year, we have your health form already on file.

Coed Flag Football

Diocesan League:  This is a new diocesan sport for all boys and girls divided into two divisions, one for 1-2 graders and the other for 3-4 graders.  They will play 7v7 on the field.  Games are on Saturdays at various diocesan school fields.  Games are two 20 minute halves with a running clock.  Practices can begin on March 1.  We will definitely need coaches for this sport, since it is new to the diocese. Registration fee is $60.

NFL FLAG Football League:  We are also offering another option for flag football for our non 1-4 graders (Kindergarten and 5-8 graders). The National Flag Football, a developmental NFL FLAG football league, has a spring 5v5 program that starts with a meet and greet on Sunday, March 19. Games are on Sundays between 12:00-7:00pm starting on April 2 at Riverdale High School in Murfreesboro. Practices are held one hour prior to games. Registration is open through February 19. Click here to access their website to register. Teams are formed after registration closes. Cost is $130. Athletes receive an NFL FLAG jersey & flag belt to keep.

Golf

This sport is run by the diocese where individuals compete in tournaments held on Sunday afternoons. There are two divisions. Players will be placed in a division based on their skill level. It is open to both boys and girls in the 6th thru 8th grades. More details and the official registration website are coming soon. The registration fee is $120 or $140 (includes a polo golf shirt). Please also complete the attached Saint Rose registration form. There is no fee with our registration.

Tennis Clinics

For 2023, we are not having the MTSU Tennis Clinics since the MTSU tennis courts are under construction until October. The Nashville Catholic Tennis Clinics require a separate online registration. Please register and I will forward your information to the coordinators.

This is a Diocesan coordinated program for K-8 grade students.  It is a fun introduction to tennis competition for Catholic students that offers a low-pressure team environment to develop their skills through level-based play and instruction when necessary.  K-4 grade will be instruction-based and play on a smaller court.  5-8 graders will have match play on a full-sized court.  Tentative information is below.

Dates: In April and May on Saturdays (Actual dates TBD)

Place:

Times: K-4 grades:  9:00-10:00am, 5-8 grades: 10:30am-12:00pm
